Events
As an organization, we are always seeking opportunities to be involved in local events or partner with other organizations to further community relationships. Some of the events the Emporia Police Benefit Association participate in are: Polar Plunge, Disc Golf for Special Olympics, Special Olympics Torch Run, Great American Market Dunk Tank, Lap the Lakes Gravel Grinder, and the Annual Toy Drive and Movie in the Park. All events benefit local agencies and charities.
Zombie Run 5k
EPBA Fundraiser
The Zombie Run 5k is a run/walk fundraiser for the EPBA. In this 5k you not only have to keep track of your breathing......but you need to keep an eye out for the zombies on the trail. Funds raised go towards various donations we give throughout the year. These can range from donating for a local youth to attend a sports camp to a donation to a local non-profit in need. These funds also help us to put on the movies in the park community events.
Movies in the park
Community Event
The Movie in the Park events are not to raise money. These events allow us to get out into the community and spend time with the citizens. At these movies we get to meet up with local friends and families for an evening under the stars in front of the big screen. Bring your family and friends to the park for a movie and cookout. We have a concession stand set up for your convenience. Check back later for dates, times and the movie line up.

EPBA Golf Scramble
Benefiting Special Olympics
Our organization partners with many community businesses to help raise money for the Special Olympics. Our Annual Golf Scramble is held at the Emporia Municipal Golf Course usually in the first week or two of May. Stay tuned for updates as we schedule our events.
